TOYO: The Nostalgic Action Figure Metaverse

Today, we are thrilled to introduce you to Toyo. Please join us to learn all about the nostalgic Toyoverse and the upcoming Toyo private sale and IGO on the Seedify Launchpad on February 21 and 22, respectively.
Our story takes place in the very distant future, in a faraway simulation, at a time where human greed and violence have resulted in wars that ended in the extinction of many races, including the human race.
Created in the year 2140, Toyos are sentient action figures bonded to individual humans and intended to prevent violence by battling and solving conflicts on their human’s behalf. For years, Toyos were used to solve all humanity’s problems, both big and small, preventing wars and ending the human conflict. The world knew peace...Unfortunately, peace did not last. A great war broke out in 2184, ending with the extinction of humans and many other races.
Toyos have lost their purpose in the absence of humanity, that is, until now. With the establishment of a temporary simulation link, it is now our responsibility to reactivate the Toyo’s Heart-Bond module, reestablish the human bond and help them regain their purpose by rebuilding their world.
Toyos
Toyos are sentient action figures bonded to humans through a cyber device called Heart Bond and created to protect and fight. The strength of the human-Toyo connection affects the latter’s performance in battle. The stronger the bond, the more powerful and successful the Toyo.
Toyo Parts: NFTs
Every Toyo is assembled from 10 different NFT parts. These parts are; head, chest, left arm, left hand, right arm, right hand, left leg, left foot, right leg, and right foot.
Players will have the ability to customize their Toyos by collecting or acquiring different parts and assembling the ideal action figure. Toyos equipped with higher value parts or a good combination of parts will be more effective on the battlefield.
Stats
Each action figure features a combination of 12 different stats. Each part that makes up a Toyo contributes to the sum of its stats on a percentage basis. While Toyos have a basic set of attack and defense moves, they can be upgraded through better quality parts and attachables that unlock extra powers and abilities, along with increasing stats through gameplay and skills.
Each part is made out of one of six technoalloys, which are a combination of plastic and other elements. Each technoalloy features different strengths and weaknesses against different types of attacks.
Rarity tiers
Toyo body part NFTs feature six rarity levels; common, uncommon, rare, limited, collectors and prototype.
While rarity does not necessarily determine a Toyo’s strength or effectiveness in battle, it does bring various other advantages. Rare parts provide players with better play-to-earn rates, less Heart-Bond loss in secondary sales, extra attachment slots, better chances to find rarer, higher quality parts in scavenger missions, and stats boosts for genesis unboxing events.
Strategically assembling Toyos using the best possible parts and combination of parts will play a major role in players’ success in the Toyo metaverse.
Play-To-Earn
Once a player has assembled their Toyo action figure, they can begin earning rewards by participating in game-play. Gamers will be able to engage in various types of PVP battles with other players or complete PVE missions and quests to earn tokens and NFT reward items.
GamePlay
The basics of Toyo battles include a variety of physical punches and kicks, along with special cyber attacks, combos, dodges and various counter-attacks.
Before beginning the battle, players will be able to set their Toyo’s battle strategy, having the ability to take a different approach in each of the fight’s three stages.
Gameplay Modes
PVP
In PVP mode, gamers will be able to engage in battles with other players using their Toyos. PVP mode includes Basic, Advanced and Hardcore options. Basic PVP battles will boost Toyo’s stats. Advanced PVP mode will require an entry fee, with the winner receiving in-game tokens as rewards, while Hardcore PVP battles are much higher risk, with losers potentially relinquishing body parts from their Toyo to the winner.
Gamers will also be able to participate in relay team battles and exciting tournaments, to earn great rewards.
PVE
In PVE mode, players will be able to complete daily tasks or embark on daily, monthly or seasonal missions and quests, overcoming obstacles and fighting bosses to earn tokens and NFT rewards.
Gamers will be able to send their Toyos on scavenger missions to collect Toyo parts. Players will need to strategize which Toyos to send on these missions since less powerful Toyos may not have the ability to return on their own, requiring a rescue mission. Players will also be able to send sidekicks with their main Toyo to assist them on their quest.
Marketplace
On the Toyo marketplace, players will be able to buy, sell or trade Toyo body parts, along with other in-game NFTs.
Long-term Vision
Toyo is developed by Lucid Dreams and the company’s long-term goal is develop the Toyo lore and brand through various forms of multimedia, including comics, books series, movies, etc., with Toyo NFT owners sharing in the benefits of these endeavors.
Tokens
The Toyo Metaverse is powered by a two token system, $TOYO, a governance token, and $BOND, an in-game currency token.
$TOYO — Governance Token
As a governance token, $TOYO will allow holders to participate in governance voting to shape the future of the Toyo Metaverse. Additionally, token holders will be able to stake $TOYO and earn staking yield, treasury yield, and NFT airdrops based on their ‘holding score’.
$BOND — In-Game Utility Token
$BOND is the heart of Toyo’s in-game P2E economy. It allows users to enter advanced PVP battles, customize Toyos, etc. $BOND can be earned by engaging in PVP battles, completing in-game tasks, missions and quests or by crafting and selling Toyo parts.
